Cures with Pranayama (Breathing Exercises), Meditation & Ayurveda

My Real Date & Exposure to Pranayama (Breathing Exercises), Meditation & Ayurveda happened in 2008 and I can convincingly state that ‘That was the Best thing that could ever have happened to me’. Why I say so is because both ‘Me & My Dad’ were indeed doing (or trying to follow) as to what was being taught by ‘Lot of (Seemingly Genuine!) TV Babas!’

What we gained Was Absolutely Nothing! My Dad lost Battle to Kidney-Multi Organ failure & I had to quit My Sailing Job (with 90+% vision loss). Though, these disorders were troubling us for more than a decade.

Then how come, after studying for 3-4 years, when things started making complete sense to me, and within just less than 2 months, when I started applying these studies on me, I attained following:

  1. Vision got cured to more than normal (Sufferings of more than 20 years abruptly came to an end!),
  2. Severe Depression got cured (Sufferings of more than 6 years),
  3. Severe Haemorrhoids got cured,
  4. Palpitations got cured (Sufferings of more than 6 years).

The only difference was:

  1. Understood & Implemented Ayurvedic Principles into My Lifestyle,
  2. The Pranayama, Anulom Velom, has to be done with full concentration, as explained, and as much Breath Retention, as possible. Obviously, this retention would be minimal, or not applicable, if one has Lungs Condition, or other serious conditions,
  3. All other Pranayama, have to be done with full Concentration.

Why is Concentration so important, after all?

Our body is made up of billions of cells, each cell has got a nucleus, each nucleus has a nucleotide, which contains DNA and Chromosomes, which scientists claim, have all the information of human evolution. So when we do our breathing exercises with concentration, and we command our cells to take in the Positive Energy, and kick out the Negative Energy, the effect is definitely much more prominent.

I have personally benefited by doing Pranayama with full concentration, and experienced a huge difference from when I was doing it without concentration.

Now the Responsibility Part (In regards to Breath Retention, in any Pranayama): If one is having lungs related problem/s (say, bronchial infection, or Asthma), he or she surely should not put undue pressure/stress on his/her lungs. As such, such people will not retain breath or do so for may be 1-2 seconds. As they start feeling better, and start getting cured, breath retention duration may be gradually increased.

Why Meditation: The Disorder-Ailment would always find its root at The Subtle Level, which then percolates down to The Physical Level. If we could keep our Subtle Level-Our Aura-Our Etheric-Emotional-Mental-Astral Body in Balance, we could rid ourselves of lot of Medical Miseries, and Meditation helps us achieve exactly that.

Why Ayurveda: Because it is a Great-Scientific Tool to help us stay healthy at physical level & eventually make our journey easy towards achieving-visualising refined-fine-tuned Subtle levels that our Divine Body is Blessed with.
