Speed increases both Pitta (The Fire component of the body) and Vata (The ‘Nerve Force’ component of the body) and thus damages joints. (Milkha Singh’s both knees are permanently damaged).
And, for God’s sake, this does not mean, brisk walking after your dinner. After dinner, 20 minutes of Strolling (Walking along at a Leisurely Pace) is what is beneficial. Brisk walking is for the Morning Vata and Kapha time, instead of Jogging or Running at that time.
The Imbalanced Vata & Pitta of The Body may easily get Vitiated by Jogging and Running, and Hence we may easily infer, Brisk Walking is Healthier Than Jogging.
